My neo-pseudo-classic:

Mercian King of Mercia Touring frame. Reynolds 531C, vertical dropouts, standard lugs & crown (but w/allen-key seat binder). Gold polychromatic paint, white enamel headtube, & seat panel. Red lug lining and decals. 71 seat/73 head angles ("borrowed" from Jack Taylor and Raleigh's RRA), low BB, and long chainstays.

Decidedly modern drivetrain consisting of TA Zephyr triple (24/36/48), Shimano Ultegra derailleurs & bar-end shifters. Ultegra 47-57mm dual-pivot brakes and levers. Torelli Master rims, Ultegra hubs, various tires (Rivendell, Vittoria, Conti).

Nitto Technomic Deluxe stem, h'bar, two-bolt seatpost. Brooks B17 Champion Special saddle.

The frame comes from one of the classic British builders, and the parts make it work for my terrain, riding style, etc. The finishing gear has a nice, simple satin finish, and clean/smooth lines.
