What makes some people so desirous of a Colnago Mexico over the Super when I have read they are nearly the same, or at least difficult to differentiate? Both look pretty attractive to my untrained eyes.

Apologies if I'm bringing up old stuff up re: Colnago serial numbers. In the description of the Colnago being outed (http://ebay.com/<blah> 4) it says, "SS# on driveside rear dropout is G594." Looking the archives there are references to serial numbers in this spot, and a reference to a period where there were no serial numbers.

I have a Colnago Super that I know was purchased in 1974. It has the same decal styles/configuration of a Colnago Super that appears in a very good color photo of Italian rider Baronchelli in the French magazine L'Equipe of July, 1973. The magazine was saved and kept along with the frame/fork so it could be built up just like in the photo (a "project" that never happend).

Anyway, the number on driveside rear dropout is "16". Is this a serial number or something else?
