Hi Tony, What do you mean by rough? Proper set up with these things is imperative. Correct, they're great, bad set up and they're awful. You got any pix? BTW, you had it right: Bar-con is a SunTour term, Campy called them "handlebar shifters" or "bar end" shifters. Stevan Thomas Using Campy Bar ends for 30 years now Alameda, CA
