FWIW, I have become totally sensitized to this stuff...even with Latex gloves and a barrier cream my hands will inflame, swell and itch to the point I want to scream. I have always been a little sensitive to skin rashes (ie: too much chlorine in the pool) but wd40 is now like napalm for me. It no longer has a place in my shop.
I'm not generally reactionary or strident about the use of chemicals...I've been guilty of using many nasty gunks in my day. I'm starting to change my tune as I get older.
Any suggestions for a non-toxic degreaser would be appreciated.
