Ooh, combining the threads - it was sold out of the Santana factory, though it was a sort-of separate business, mostly the baby of McCready's then-partner Daryl Levesque (sp?)... the PFYs who were hired to sweep the floor, staple the cardboard boxes etc at Santana would fill in the quiet times when work was slow at Santana by coiling and bagging Elephant Brand.

I remember it being ever-so-slightly OVERsized though, not undersized - some of our cooler English braze-ons (from Andrew Hague maybe?), wouldn't work with the stuff. And I liked the housing so much that I wouldn't use a braze-on unless it fit Elephant Brand.

Mojo up the yin-yang if you were there to see the wacky, zany, madcap hi-jinks that went on in that ol' condemned lemon-packing warehouse!
