Listmembers;
The gathering for dinner in San Diego has been set for Tues. Jan. 28 at about 6:30pm. We are checking into an Old Town location as Dale mentioned; for the convenience of the conference attendees. Mexican food is planned. My apologies to Dale for dissing the Mexican food in Greensboro. But I have to admit, there is a reason why Mexican food here, although "Americanized", is still good. I just wasn't ready for a fish taco with vinigarette dressing and lettuce on it. It's tarter sauce and cabbage around here. And TWO soft corn tortillas as a wrapper.
This meeting is shaping up to be a "full blown affair". Joe Bell will be attending . I'm very pleased to know Paulie, Scott, and Charles (one of my favorite riding buddies) will be comming down. I can then apologize to Scott Smith for not answering his request for touch-up information on his Masi. Dave Staub is a most pleasant bonus to have amongst us. I hope Chuck and Matty can make it and Jay has already committed. Craig Fenstermaker, a long time very good friend of mine and new listmember is in as well. Craig is probably one of the few persons who could ride my wheel and actually benifit from the draft. One of many things I have let slip by in the past few months while being so busy. This one will have all of the flavor of a dinner at Le Cirque or Velo Rendezvous. The only West Coast regular that would be missing would be Peter and Jan Johnson. Dare we even hope..........?
Anxious to meet everyone who can attend. It also sounds as if there might be some sort of ride on Sunday if that works out somehow. LET'S PARTY! Raiders fans will have nothing on us; we'll show those panty waist football fans how it's done!!
