Latest list of books and parts for sale to CR members before they go to Ebay. I can take photos if necessary. To the US frames typically cost about $105 in a double skinned box but can be sent more cheaply about $70 (single skinned box and surface mail if required) All items are priced in $. Shipping will be extra charged at cost. Payment can be made in cash with dollars or by money order in Pounds sterling ($1.45 to 1 GBP). American Express Travellers cheques in $ are also fine. HIGGINS ULTRALITE 23 1/2in (ctt) FRAME 22 1/2 in (ctc) fine bronze welded (fillet brazed). Nervex fork crown, Campag ends but no gear hanger. Frame number A28 indicates that it dates from January 1965. Needs repaint; transfers are available. Fred Higgins set up his frame building business in 1935 and was best known for his trikes and trike axles. Unlike many framebuilders he had an engineering background and unusually he built jigs for every part of the frame building operation. This was one of the last frames to be made by Higgins. Lovely brass head badge. I can arrange for frame enamelling at any one of three British frame enamellers for the buyer. REDUCED PRICE $165

THE CYCLING HANDBOOK by Lon Pullen 1st Edit 1950 175 pages. These are quite simply the best guides to to the kit and how it was used in the 1950s. There are three editions of this book which are all fairly different. This particular copy has a very rough cover - the rear cover has been chewed by a mouse! And the ear pages whilst not chewed have folded over bottom corners but all the info is there and there are no missing pages and they are otherwise clean. $15

TWO WHEELS TO THE TOP - THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF REG HARRIS 218pp 1976 Plenty of photos and a great account of what it takes to rise to the top like Reg did in the world of track sprinting. $30

CHAMPION ON TWO WHEELS Hugh Porter¹s autobiography. 1975 187pp Excellent clean copy complete with virtually perfect dustjacket. Hugh Porter was World Track Pursuit champion four times which was a record in itself. Plenty of photos. Hardback. $25

THE PENGUIN BOOK OF THE BICYCLE by Rod Watson and Martin Gray 1978 333pp This very underrated book covers cycle history, the contemporary scene at the end of the 70s (mostly in Britain) and has a superb chapter on the contemporary cycle British cycle industry. This includes interviews with Dave Moulton (before he went to the US), Reynolds, Raleigh ­ this is a long section covering company history, contemporary production and details of the Ti-Raleigh team and their bikes etc. $18

BATTAGLIN CATALOGUE c1982 includes sheets for Giro D¹Italia, Vuelta and Marostica models $15

EDDY MERCKX CATALOGUE pictures of the factory etc early probably 1978/9 with just two models Professional road and Professional track. Badly creased at bottom edge hence $12

CYCLO BENELUX REAR GEAR c1950/2 Alloy cranked arm 4-speed 3/32in Very good condition Chrome on bracket and mounting bolt not perfect and red background to lettering needs repainting but appears almost unused no apparent wear to jockeey pulley and sprocket $60

CYCLO BENELUX FRONT GEAR ROD OPERATED (suicide shifter) very light wear to cage but operating arm and possibly cage could with replating. c1954-62. A rare item. $65
