Subject: [CR]Restored 1940's Bianchi for sale in Italy

I have dug up a restored 1940's Bianchi that is for sale in Milan. They are asking 2500 euros for it. I have a number of photos of the bike which I can forward to anybody who is interested.

I am not interested in the bike myself as it is not sufficiently original for my liking. The bike was supposedly built in October 1947 with a cambio corsa. In the 50's it was 'updated' with a Paris-Roubaix gear and double Magistroni chainset and Campagnolo suicide front derailleur.

As it now stands, the bike comes with the Paris-Roubaix gear mounted and the original Cambio Corsa is available. The hubs are the original Bianchi-branded FB ones, the bars and stem are the original Bianchi-branded Ambrosio ones, the saddle is the Bianchi-branded Brooks one, the brakes are Universal, the rims Fiamme, the pedals the original Bianchi branded ones.

The serial number is 11698. When the bike was repainted, the incorrect decals were used for the frame. It now says Bianchi Paris-Roubaix instead of the more correct Folgore.
