Subject: [CR]Masi, Mojo, lore and unbelievable ignorance

Reading all this Masi Mojo mails, I have to tell you of my last visit at a LBS. I regulary visit the small shop of Guenther Haritz, former six day racer, winner of olympic gold 1972 and world championships. I'm his only customer interested in vintage bicycles and when he digs out some old parts he shows or gives them to me. Last week he told me about his old mentor who introduced him to cycling in 1963 and died a few years ago: "He knew the old Masi personally and only rode Masis. He regulary went to the Viogorelli to have a new Masi build for him. He didn't sell the old ones he just got a new one every few years. Several month after his death I asked the family what they intend to do with all the bicycles. The've thrown them all away shortly after his death."
