First of all a big thanks to the half dozen or so list members that helped with parts, info, and inspiration. You know who you are, so thanks! Anyway, finally got her all bolted back together with fresh slippery stuff in all the moving bits, a few new parts, and even more holes drilled where the factory had left some solid aluminum. Not that all those chips add up to much, but it actually is pretty light. 20.5 lbs. on the nose with cage and pedals according to the fish scale at the LBS. Southern Oregon has finally got a few sunny days so I was able to do a short shake-down run the other day. Kept it close to home with a couple of laps around the local 10 mile “hammer loop”, just to make sure no parts fell off and that everything was reasonably well adjusted. What can I say, it rides beautifully. Short top tube and racy geometry makes you want to stick a knee out and push through anything even resembling a corner, and it ticks along at 20+ in the 53-16 just soaking up the chip-seal like gravy. Very comfy as well (love the Regal, Richard), hope to get a real day of mileage on it tomorrow. Below are some links to photos. Cheers, Otis
