Tom: I've acquired about five Hetchins this past year, and usually looking for more. That plus running the Larz Anderson show for five years and now starting another one, somehow my wife endures. Like yourself, I'm thinking of a storage shed built out like Dale Browns, if you've been lucky to see his shop, or build out a large room in the basement. There never seems to be enough room. What works for me is a "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy and a disbursement of information on a "Need to know basis". I would say don't ever lie, but don't volunteer what you don't need to, either. My last bike, a beautiful Stainless lugged Columbine sat for a couple of weeks in the middle of the living room where I thought it was truly lovely. Cindy then gently suggested that perhaps the storage shed might be more appropriate. I magnanimously complied. Now a new McLean is wending its' way toward us. If she asks where I'd like to keep it, I'm a bit worried as it will be a bit crowded in our bed and the storage shed is a bit cold for the poor old dear. I guess after 35 years she had become inured to my eccentricities...here's hoping!
