Well, maybe *another* question about Brooks saddles is just as bad. I bought a used Brooks Pro off of either a CR list member or an iBob member. I put the pro on my commute bike and it has simply been the most comfortable seat I've ridden on in many years. So, when a couple more Pros came up in FS postings I got those too. I recently had to build up a new commute bike and decided to move that first wonderful Pro to one of my recreational ride bikes. In trying to set everything up just so I took the time to measure the newer saddle, then the old one. These are both marked on the side with 'Professional', both have the smaller rivets with the rounded edges, and both have chrome rails. They look the same until you measure them. Now, I was expecting some small, dismissable size differences, but not a difference of 1/2" in length and nearly that in width. Does anyone know if there were size changes over time that would account for this, or some version of the pro that differs? The women's pro should be wider, not narrower. The one I have seems to be just a smaller overall version of the pro (and wouldn't you know it's the most comfortable saddle I have).

I did a search of the archives to find postings that dealt with dimensions of the saddles but mostly those are comparing pros to b-17s, or they talk about the rumored differences in leather thickness. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks
