I had avoided French bikes and parts for 25 years because I didn't like all the idea of the French standards. Well I bought a French and the curse that is French standards has come back to bite me. Anyway the problem is the fork is a bit bent, see <http://homepage.mac.com/monkeylad/PhotoAlbum11.html>. The crown is twisted 1-2 degrees and the steerer is bent at the crown another couple of degrees.

I tried to bend it back by mounting it in a bolted-down Park stand and used all my powers of cold-setting to no avail. So I need to do one of two things either find someone who's willing to straighten the fork and has the proper fixtures and levers? Or a better option would be some listmember having a beefy French threaded fork 190mm/7.5" long with canti-bosses for 27" wheels and most importantly cheap, anybody?

thanks,
