Peter,

It would be quite easy for someone with basic jewellery casting equiptment and skills to do either sand castings (I think like the original zinc ones were) or a lost wax casting (like the Art Stump version) of those badges. Even relativly small numbers might be easily accomplished; although casting in brass is not often done by jeweller types; a foundry may be neccessary for that, but still the "tree" of badges could be prepared by a small caster and taken to the foundry. It would require some co-operation between all parties.

I'll volunteer to finish (however approiate) and paint any badges in trade for some of the castings if the project goes through. Since there are so many variations of the badge, it my require choosing maybe two to reproduce, like the old brass one and the common later one. Anyone up for this one??

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA Sounds like fun; where do I sign up?
