Can anyone explain the purpose of one threaded boss on the underside of a Miyata Team racing bike which, as I understand, was made for Euro distribution? A friend of mine ID's one and mentioned that the item in mention was mounted low on the underside of the down tube. (As a side note, another interesting feature was a 'number hanger" in place of the pump peg on the head tube.)
