Hi all, one more opinion on David Miller et al., and on the need to promote old brands.

I have been wondering whether promoting old brands is a good thing at all, and historically correct. Let us take Jack Taylor for an example. Was´nt finding the Green Shed part of the adventure in that you were steeped that deep in cycling matters that you knew where to go? Is this not to do with being more interested in the important things, i.e. cycling and the cycles themselves, than the mojo?

Has anyone of the recent combatants ever visited David in the old Jackson place, or more recently at home? The places were / are steeped in bicycle history; 7 Roundway Down, Fulwood just breathes bikes. Not to say Marc´s place doesn´t. I have just never been.

Good grief, of course we all know that modern Hetchins are not Denny built. But they are made by people, not machines, and cyclists at that. And shouldn´t that be what counts in the end?

I´m going for a spin now on my nicest machine. It has a name most of you (and me, too, until I got it) will never have heard about. I´ll gladly share info on it with anyone interested in 90 per cent bike and 10 per cent max mojo, maybe even less.

That was more than just my tuppence, as I am getting fed up.
