Aldo, your original point that you emailed me was the following: Re-read. . . "Consider the year in which each aluminum feature was introduced" Maybe I should have said "each new aluminum ITEM". None of the items you list above were entirely new parts, but rather they were design changes/updates. They already made front mechs, shift levers, seat posts, and hubs before 1958/9. Only the design details changed. They make aluminum hubs, polished , not anodized. After 1958+/-, each time they introduced new items they were anodized. Each new ITEM they introduced after approx 1958 was anodized. When they changed the seat post they didn't start anodizing it. ---------------------------------
So your point was that the parts by catagory that were made before 1958 were never anodized and the parts by catagory made after 1958 were never anodized.
One example would be that the hubs were introduced before 1958 so hubs are never anodized, even C-Record.
Another example would be that the front derailleur was introduced before 1958 so front derailleurs are never anodized, even C-Record.
Clearly, there are too many exceptions to your "1958 Rule" and I have to think that this overlay of the dates of introduction with the introduction of Campagnolo anodizing is just a coincidence and makes no sense. Maybe a "cosmic coincidence" like in Repro Man... "one person says cherry, and another person says pie... cherry pie!"
