The problem with this list is 20 to 30 year old facts need to be recalled. If my memory serves me the problem with the "post alpina" racks is that the American importer brought in one gutter mount then four which fit 80% of the cars (the European catalogue showed more). You rolled the dice of you owned a car in the other 20%. Mike Sinyard of what was then Specialized Bicycle Imports (a distributor) shared this info with me to explain why he was quietly discontinuing the rack. T. Shaw Santa Clara Where we don't have enough humidity to need "Framesaver" but still sell it to the cautious.
