What is a spam "spider"? My concern is that the higher purpose of the CR List is being undermined by spam advertisting. I intended my posting as an alert. And, I apologise for sounding whiney, flying off the handle and seeming to jump to unfounded conclusions concerning some mysterious list related event. I have to say, my experience with junk mail has been that my email account(s) become deluged with junk after contacting commercial sites. I have maintained a Hotmail account for several years which is used strictly for business correspondence and has never been violated with any junk mail. Also, for the record: I do not suspect the CR List itself. Regards, Richard Cielec Chicago, Illlinois Morgan Fletcher <morgan@hahaha.org> wrote: r cielec writes:

Consider that perhaps a spam "spider" found your address in the archives.
