Why I hate ebay:

http://ebay.com/<blah> SIMPLEX JUY 61 EXPORT DERAILLEUR

Current bid is US$344. That's the correct derailleur for my 1963 PX-10E frameset. Argh. I suppose I would love ebay if I was a parts seller.

I asked about this derailleur last week, didn't get any replies:

Know what Simplex rear derailleur this is, what years it was produced? A friend gave it to me. I will probably use it on the Peugeot unless I can find a Juy rear derailleur.

BTW, I am still looking for these parts, period-correct, if you have some you'd sell:

o Stronglight 49D crankset, french threads, pretty much any tooth count, pref 170mm-175mm o Simplex Juy (61 rear, 23 front) derailleurs. I can dream... o Simplex shifters o French wheels or hubs o 4spd freewheel o bars/stem, in this case Italian or British would be OK, the wider/longer the better o Lyotard french-thread pedals o Simplex rear derailleur pulley(s) o Probably more stuff I can't think of right now...

I'm (vainly?) trying to turn this frameset:

...back into something like this bike:

Anyone interested in a trade for a NOS Brooks B5N in black for a new or used Brooks Pro in black or brown?
