Based on recent advertisements for Prestige frames; my recollection of the early Prestige that is owned by Wayne Bingham; and my own Prestige; I believe that there was a transition where the Italian made Gran Criteriums were made concurrently with the California GCs, and that when Masi-Italy introduced the Prestige name, they essentially redecaled the GC. I think this happened 1975-1977, but I don't know exactly. It was late 70s when they changed such design features as the brake bridge to the design that is on my Prestige not the round bridge found on GC and Wayne's Prestige). I recall that was the first design feature that I noted on Wayne's Prestige and I think he determined his was from about 77 or so. Probably a lot more precise information coming, so I'll shut up and sit down. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
