Alas , , I was taken down by hit and run car yesterday while riding home from work on what I considered to be the safest most benign route in the world , fortunately, I just have nonserious soft tissue damage under my left scapula and ribs, but serious pain never-the-less. . . . My Paramount is still in the van ,recovered by my wife, and I haven't had the heart (or the mobility) to look at it yet , , , very frustrating, , I was just starting to get in miles after all the bad weather in the NO VA area , , but I should recover soon, if it doesn't turn out that I do indeed have broken ribs , , The paramount is a 1970 chrome touring converted to fixed with old B70 Brooks , , Northroad bars and a period large Schwinn touring saddlebag, , and Honjo hammered fenders. The bike is my favorite ride. . I may take my late '70s Marinoni instead along with my Mondia road fixed. . .
