Bill Shook, who now runs the business from here in Tampa. I think he won the State Road Championship last year in the 50+ category, and he can be found almost every Sunday morning on the 60-mile hilly training ride that leaves from San Antonio, just north of Tampa.

Classic content: I almost took my '83 Holdsworth Professional on this ride this morning, but chickened out at the last minute. Went for a more relaxed cruise instead. Maybe next week. It's one tough ride.

# I think American Classic was started by Alan Kingsbury and Gary(?) Shook, #Kingsbury using some capitol from the settlement of his awful TT collision #with a cement truck. I have a American Classic style post that is marked #Kingsbury, bought around '86 or so; apperently a schism? I've always liked #these posts- very light, and actually microadjusting. I ,too broke one as #described, but on a mountain bike!
