Subject: [CR]Axles for Racelite front hubs?

My friends, I recently purchased a BH "Racelite" front hub. It has a solid axle with very nice track style nuts - i.e. the nuts with integrated washers. I thought this would be a lovely thing to use on an older road fixed gear frame road. But I have discovered that these hubs have a 90mm OLD, while any of the frames that I might use have an 100mm OLD. I would like to replace the axle with a longer one but it has - what are for me - unusual dimensions: 8mm x 1mm per thread. Are longer axles available for these hubs and, if so, are they robust enough for everyday riding? (I weigh less than 130 pounds.) Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
