I've been lurking on this list for a few weeks, and have really learned a good bit. I'm impressed with the scope and depth of the knowledge shown of these wonderful classic bicycles. The CR list is a great diversion from the manuscript I'm editing on the history of the medical profession in the United States. Funny to note that, after reading the acrimonious messages here, I turned to Shyrock's essays on Medicine in America (1966) that speak of the reputation of the early medical profession as "a body of jealous, quarrelsome men, whose chief delight is the annoyance and ridicule of one another". I guess it is an organizational illness?
