Ack, it just occurs to me after reading the list, that the tires I've always chosen for performance and consistency are probably going to look silly on the Montelatici.
I am using clincher rims, because cat hair seems to always find its way into the glue when ever I mess with tubulars, but mostly because I live in the new millennium and I really like my microwave and other modern conveniences, even if I do make pasta from scratch. I'll be happy without index shifting, but anything that has to cure on a bicycle, well - I can live without.
Now I know I'm bad that I put high end Terry seats on classic bikes (heck, I'm SITTING on them - don't look) because if Georgena would have been able to design seats back in the 30s, she would have done it, but tires?
I guess Continental Grand Prixs aren't very era. What is, that is commercially available and looks right on a late 60s bike built up with early 80s campy?
