The first generation Dura-Ace and orange color sounds like the Schwinn World Voyageur, but that bike built in Japan and used Japanese tubing, not 531.

I stumbled across a sort of cool bike today, and wondered if anyone had any thoughts about it. It is a Schwin _____, darn I cannot remember the model name on the downtube. Getting old... Anyway, full 531 frame / fork. Full 1'st generation (?) Dura Ace!!! Pearlescent orange paint, looking to be over a full chrome substrate. Chrome headlugs, Prugnat perhaps. Medium long points. No braze-ons, being consistent with the claim that the bike is from 1977. Not perfect or anything but very good condition. Guy claimed that this model was just one model below the Paramount and only made for a couple of years. It is not a "Peloton". It was "Veloce" or something like that. It would make a fine fixie but as it is pretty complete / original that might not be the best approach. Does this model ring a bell with anyone? Thanks, Richard Rose (Toledo, Ohio)
