Lou We have a Mountain Goat Deluxe http://www.firstflightbikes.com/1990_Mtn_Goat_Deluxe.htm that uses the "loose leaf binder" system. There is no slot on the frame and the binder works similar to a few of the ahead type stems, 2 shaped pieces that compress onto the post. Pretty neat setup that seals the seat tube nicely.
