It appears that some of the bikes exhibited are problematically as regards to some of their components. As an example the 1955 Fausto Coppi bike is equipped with a Campagnolo Record front derailleur that was not only not available in 1955, but was not available at the time of Coppi's death in January 1960! Also, the crankset was introduced in 1958.

I would guess that the frame and some of the parts are original to his 1955 Milan-San Remo victory, but clearly some of the parts are not, and were changed at some point after the end of his riding career and death.

I guess this would only be a problem if the bike is represented as completely original?
