I think the most classic content of the article was passed by without anyone noticing. One of the things I lament the most about the bike industry is the loss of family. Few shops get passed on from generation to generation anymore let alone bikes and parts manufacturers. Think of how many builders you know that have taught their kids to build and those kids went on to be builders themselves. I think it's wonderful that Ugo DeRosa was able to pass on his passion on to his children and they've carried on the tradition. Maybe DeRosa doesn't make the kind of bikes the list idolizes anymore, but I don't think their vision has changed. They still make top-notch performance bikes and try to push the envelope each day.
