Dale said that the PMP L cranks had a spider that was swaged to the crank. The set am selling on ebay at the moment has a spider that is bolted to the crank, using 3 small cap screws in to closed holes in the crank. it is very neatly done and allows the spider to be anodised black. Were there two types? Mechanically effective or efficient, well I will pass on that question.

Can any one tell me when Eddy Merckx started his Frame building business, as we know it today? Obviously frames carried his name almost as soon as he started racing, but when did he start selling his own?
