I remember getting Pro 5 Vis TA cranks in the early 1980's from Gus Betat Imports and they still came with pedal hole cover plates . Maybe they were old stock that had been sitting around a warehouse for some time. I'd venture to guess the pedal hole covers lasted well into the 1970's, though.

Yep...screw those Campy pedals in and watch the little cover plates pop right out. Probably happened to lots of TA cranks.
