greetings one and all all this talk of paramounts and in walks a fellow with a pre 1954 paramount track machine. hes not sure of the vintage as he bought it used in 54. and has taken a spill on it recently and damaged the clamp on the major taylor stem. anyone happen to have on lying about??? seems a long shot but told him id attempt to locate the part. btw those last paramounts were beautiful in their own right, even if not to my personal tastes(like the straight fork). but its fun to have one hanging as a monument to a amazing chapter in american bicycle history. probably will never build it up. just let it hang. it was a pleasant surprise to find them a coupla years ago at the veloswap WAY cheap and at the end of the day and one in my size mysteriously appeared outta the pile that had slowly dwindled. wishing each and everyone peace joy happy spring and time for long rides.... sarah
