"How rare are Carlton Brake Hoods?

David Allen Marietta, Georgia"

Hi David, If you are referring to the Weinmann hoods with the Carlton logo molded into them, they seem to show up on ebay periodically (doesn't everything?). As always, the supply of beat up, yellowed hoods is greater than pristine, white hoods. Every so often you see some black hoods from an old Raleigh Competition. In general, these weren't/aren't the most comfortable brake hoods. I greatly prefer to take them off and use gum hoods (which happen to be available thru the usual sources).
