Subject: [CR]Tufo Diamond Cyclocross on the Road?

While considering tubular tires (again) and lamenting the lack of wide, tough, affordable tires, I came across the Tufo Diamond D28 cyclocross tire. It's 28 mm wide, has a smoothish inverted diamond tread, and takes 90 psi. Does anyone have any experience/feedback on this tire as a possible road option? It's black with a redish brown sidewall. World Class cycling lists them at $32 a piece (less in quantity), 320 grams, and supposedly for "dry" conditions. I think asphalt would qualify as dry. :-)
