Latest list of Frame, books and parts for sale to CR members before they go to Ebay. I can take photos if necessary. To the US frames typically cost about $105 in a double skinned box but can be sent more cheaply about $70 (single skinned box and surface mail if required) All items are priced in $. Shipping will be extra charged at cost. Payment can be made in cash with dollars or by money order in Pounds sterling ($1.60 to 1 GBP). American Express Travellers cheques in $ are also fine. GILLOTT 23 1/2in (centre-to-top) 1952, 22 1/4in top tube. Standard Gillott spearpoint lugs lined in silver, Simplex forged ends with Campag hanger brazed-on, Simplex rollers at bottom bracket and stops for handlebar end control cables on down tube. Typical Gillott reinforced curved brake bridge. Two very small dents on underside of down tube caused by down tube lever clip and one equally small one on seat tube caused by front derailleur clip. Resprayed in powder blue with cream panels and correct Gillott transfers by Colortech. Complete with head badge. $375

REGINA EXTRA 3/32in CHAIN NOS in its original packaging. 114 links. This is ideal for use with older rear derailleurs such as Campagnolo which work better with chains which are stiffer sideways such as this. $12

COLORAL BOTTLE CAGE CLIPS NOS to suit handlebar bottle cages. $16

BSA HUB GEAR NOS w/TOPTUBE CONTROL from probably the 1940s drilled with 36 holes. The BSA hub gear was based upon an early Sturmey Archer design and was in production for nearly 50 years. They are extremely tough and offer identical ratios to a normal Sturmey Archer 3-speed 25% down and 33% up. Supplied complete with suitable sprocket, cable and an excellent BSA top tube control. $85

REYNOLDS 531C DECAL SET 1980s - varnish fix from the 1980s. $12

FRENCH COTTERED HOLLOW AXLE BOTTOM BRACKET SET NOS - French or possibly Belgian made bottom bracket set (cups and axle) with a gorgeous hollow axle. It has British threads and is approximately 124mm long. $45

MODOLO PRO BLACK BRAKE LEVERS NOS - practically perfect pair of NOS black anodised brake levers from the 1970s/80s. $30

APEX ALUMINIUM PUMP - a lovely17in pump from the 1950s. Apex was the major competitor to Bluemels in the 1950s. It has a couple of very small dents but is otherwise excellent. $25

THE COMPLETE CYCLIST by R J Way published c1952 119 pages This is a really splendid book full of info on the lightweight and racing kit of the period including Gnutti cotterless chainset, Constrictor and Chater Lea pedals, Alp brakes, Huret and Simplex gears, Harden hubs and lots else all illustrated with charming line drawings. Complete with dustjacket $30

LET¹S GO CYCLING by Reg Shaw published 1950 228 pages hardback Reg Shaw was secretary of the Cyclists¹ Touring Club at this time and this book mostly concentrates on the touring side - there are chapters and line drawings on equipment - the Thanet Silverlight frame is pictured - this is one of the excellent guides from the early 1950s. $30

CYCLING HANDBOOK by Lon Pullen 2nd Edition 1953 182 pages These are quite simply the best guides to to the kit and how it was used in the 1950s. There are three editions of this book which are all fairly different. The second edition is not as common as the first edition and contains masses of information on hub gears, Cyclo, Benelux, Huret, Simplex and even the Campag Paris-Roubaix. Lon Pullen had a good knowledge of the continental scene and this is reflected in this book. There are even three line drawings of Alex Singers! With dustjacket which is creased and with a couple of tears. $40

CYCLES - A HISTORICAL REVIEW 72 pages illustrated with photos and drawings. A really good resource on bikes and their equipment from the dawn of cycling to the middle 1950s produced by the Science Museum in London, this edition 1972. Generally very reliable history concentrating on the cycles and theuir equipment. $30

CYCLE REPAIRING AND ADJUSTING 150 pages published 1913 reprinted 1919. This is in fact a lot more than the title suggests - it even includes a chapter on framebuilding early 2oth century style. A great book and one of the classics if you are into the technical side. $35

YELLOW JERSEY by Noel Henderson 36 pages with plenty of photos published by Kennedy Bros in the 1970s The story of the yellow jersey in the TDF by one of the foremost Brish cycle hisorians of the continental racing scene. Creased cover $10

STURMEY ARCHER CATALOGUE 1948 Single fold out sheet with all the post war gears AW, AC, AM, FC, FM, FW, ASC etc together with gear charts and specs. Announces the introduction of the aluminium shells. $18

CYCLO AND BENELUX SERVICE DATA BOOK published c1955 Very grubby cover, 26 pages - a complete guide to fitting Cyclo standard gears, Benelux gears including the Mk 7 and 12 and Tourist gear. Invaluable $25

THE GUINNESS GUIDE TO CYCLING by J Durry translated by Jock Wadley 218 pages published 1977 large format hardback A bit of history, a section on equipment and bikes including specs for Bianchi, Gitane, Motobecane, Raleigh, Peugeut, Mercier and Lejeune racers (presuambly c1977) and lots and lots of superb photos of cycling on the continent in the 1970s. Durry was one of the top French writers on cycling and Wadley was the top British cycling journo of the time and this comes over in the text. No dustjacket. $40

1975 HOLDSWORTHY AIDS PARTS AND ACCESSORIES CATALOGUE There¹s masses of information on Campagnolo (Holdsworthy were the Campag importers in the UK), Brooks, Simplex, Huret, Universal, Stronglight, Mafac and Weinmann. 80 pages. $25
