Mark,

Thanks for outing that Tesch S-22. Very cool collectable. I'm sure someone is going to get real lucky as the new owner of that beauty.

I have THREE genuine "one-of-a-kind" Tesch Bicycles. The first is a Tesch/Baylis 48cm S-22 track bike. It's completely fillet brazed, I finish filed and painted the frame and also built the fork. Dave cut and mitered the tubes and tack brazed the frame in his fixture. I don't remember if I finish brazed the frame or if Dave did. Either way, it's a super custom Tesch S-22 track bike. To die for, trust me!

Second, I have the one and only Tesch tandem (almost built). It is a male/female design built from Columbus tandem tubing, including lugs. Dave made the lugs all Teschlike and did the signature seat stay caps on the stays and lateral tubes. I inherited the project as a frame and fork that was built but there were no bridges or braze-ons on the frame. I but in all of the bridges and installed the other bits and primed it. I haven't gotten around to painting it but I do have in hand the custom Tesch tandem decals set. I also have all of the parts set aside. This is going to be a lady killer on the road. What cycle babe could resist an empty seat on a "Killer Machine Red" (as Dave called it) Tesch tandem?? I'll try to get this ready for an appearance it Velo Rendezvous in Oct.

Third is an unfinished "stayer" track frame Dave built. Instead of using a 24" front wheel and the reverse rake fork, Dave used a 650c front wheel. Not sure why, but it's a big frame. Yep, I also have the one and only Tesch Stayer Track frame in existance. I guess I'm just lucky, but I have three of Daves' most unusual pieces.
