Does Campagnolo--or someone--make such a thing, and if so, where would I get it? LBS? Would a current QR skewer do the trick, or has Campagnolo changed the design for the newer QR?<<<<

Campy's 8-sp era hubs used 130 spacing. The Record (C-Rec?) versions had skewers that were very similar to the later generation, curved-lever skewer used on the old-style Record hubs you refer to. I have a hubset set up the same way you describe, and they look "right". The levers are not too difficult to find (eBay, swap meets), if you look hard enough. The newer generation Campy hubs use skewers that have a decidedly more modern look.
