Rats! an ounce of data again spoils a web of theory: Steven Maasland writes, re disassembling FB 3-piece hubs:

So, campers, we've learned that there are differences in assembly. As stated earlier, my Paramount rear uses a threaded RH flange; FB of similar apparent construction is pressed-on. Be careful when working on these jewels, and praise the experimentalists over the theoriticians!
