What a great ride-- thanks Charles and all. That really is one gorgeous climb and I am amazed at the privilege of riding it with no cars around. It looked so green compared to how I expected it, and the best wildflowers always seem to come in the years after a fire.

Having a '70s De Rosa and 2 full-Mavic SSC '80s pro bikes on one ride might be even more uncommon than the airplane we saw (or hallucinated?), and maybe we had ALMOST as much fun as that pilot was having. I didn't get the P51 but anyway here are some pictures:
