Mark, This is a bit off the original topic of this thread - and it's been mentioned before - but I think all LeJeune frames were built by outside contractors. So I'm convinced that any frame that had its LeJeune markings afixed at the factory (either at the actual place of manufacture or at the LeJeune works in Maisons-Alfort) is a "real" LeJeune. Of course, it nice to know who actually made the particular frame in question. Anyway, I realize it's a philisophical issue... By the way, I do have a photo of a possible fake LeJeune - a bike that was on display at the little museum at the LeJeune facility in 1983. This was a '40s or '50s bike on which they had placed modern LeJeune decals. When did Marcel LeJeune start selling bicycles, anyway? I noticed that he was already a sponsor in 1961. Best regards, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
