Thanks for the memories; I worked on these VERY occasionally many years after Campy & the French (Stronglight (often too light); anad a few other French mfger's were producting VERY high quality anodized, or we would over-anodize neat blue, red, and black colors to ALL our campy and non-frame parts to "be too cool" in the late 60's and early 70's.

My college days shop was TURIN in Evanston (N of Chicago) IL, and we fancied the "EURO" before it rivaled the dollar as cash, and before paper cash became blaise'.

I remeber fondly ALL steel cranks, and using a neat mechanic's helper cqall "loc-tite" to plastic-glue-weld the steel from loosin' under load, like a young racer at the track spinning stuff off...

:) oh to be poor, but young again, lassie

Paul Still near Chicago, but not TURIN nor other old dog shop keepers, (turned from straving artist/welder/brazers/anodizers in the back...) under the the floor or behind the "DO NOT ENTER" employees and caged animals only-- "BEWARE" signs.
