Hello there,

This is the first time I've written into the forum, but this eBay issue is one that I can very much relate to. Yes, I do agree that 30 watch slots are not enough. And, yes, I also place minimum bid increments to keep things on my list, but I find it uttely despicable to wreck a "buy it now"-opiton for somebody just to keep tabs on something. This has happened to me more than once, and in one case I actually got in touch with the culprit to find out what bit him. It was an auction for a 1981-2 Wanderer Racer with a complete Dura-Ace ax group, and the buy it now price was $60!! On the other hand; eBay does not update their pages fast enough to let people "miss" the bid. So I hit the link, a little giddy, I admit, only to be shot down in flames in the next moment.

The guy later wrote back to me and said, that he actually just bid for the fun of it, and wanted to see for how much the bike would sell. I then called him everything I could without getting into trouble, and I belive he got the gist.

So much for that. eBay is a sport and people should play fair.

Greets,

PS: That '77 NOS Gitane frame that was mentioned here earlier this week went for $99!
