Um, I actually did spend some time piecing together the 600 stuff on that bike : \ 600 was cheap <g>! (the front hub is Dura Ace, but it was only 6 bucks and I couldn't find a 600 one when I needed to get the wheels together).
I'm not sure if the Trek qualifies as funk, simply because it actually came new as a NR bike and it actually sort of has a pedigree. My Rapido on the other hand, is pure funk, because it clearly is an attempt to copy a drop bar road bike, is original except for the bar tape and the quick link for the chain, and if the rider is 4 feet high, is pretty nicely ridable - well, except for the brakes. I think it is pretty darn era and Czech.
