At cirque, I acquired a leather covered #2 Cinelli saddle with one problem: the right flap flared out over a short distance, right at the bottom. At the price, it was worth a try.

These saddles turn out to be "thermoplastic" which means that moderate heat softens them w/o destroying the plastic. So, I warmed it up with a paint removing heat gun, bent the flap in, held it, and cooled it under water. Now the protrusion is gone, and the saddle looks ok. It remains to test it on the road.

Except that the smoke alarm expressed disapproval, the experiment was a success. Thanks to the seller.
