I may have the opportunity to work on a restoration of a wishbone seat stay, lugged Zunow frame. The frame is in good shape, but the beautifully detailed paint from Zunow is under a heavy layer of Bike Messenger black from a spray can. Is there any value to stripping it and starting over, maybe sending it to Brian Baylis or something? The original group was first generation Shimano 600, Araya rims, Brooks saddle, etc. It's a beautiful frame. It just needs the paint to match. Any suggestions woudl be helpful.
