The Mavic deal doesn't work that hot any way.. a certain number of hard riding folks find it works loose. I have that tool as well if anyone wants that done anyway..(Peter Gilbert, I found it!!)

There are other ways to repair stripped threads..

Methods without screwing up paint: - You can rebuild the interior with epoxy and then tap new threads into the resin. (85% good?) - You can ream & re- tap Italian (A royal pain)

Methods that fry paint: - Fill in goobered up threads with brass (Brazing) and retap - cut BB shell longitudinally with a hack saw, clamp together, braze and re-tap... (Messy!)
