This sounds like it might also be a reasonable approach for someone who feels strongly compelled to convert a French or Swiss bottom bracket to British threading. (I know many of you are saying "Oh, horrors!" but I don't really advocate this myself. I merely recognize that there are those who might find it an enticing practice.)
