There is a garage in Cupertino. All my changes were there.

I can't make it to the celebration this weekend, but I'd like to comment on Spence and The Bike Shop if you'll all indulge me for a moment.

I can't look at a bicycle wheel without thinking of Spence

I remember the patience that Spence used when he explained that my PX-10 was going to need a 22.0 Cinelli stem

I can't slide on a pair of woolen shorts without thinking of the bathroom at the house on Randy Lane

And I've said this before but I think it bears repeating: Spence was the first adult that I met who seem to be enjoying what he did for a living - that left a huge mark on me

I named my only son Spencer: http://kogswell.com/images/SpencerII.jpg He's a good kid and he has a ready smile.

It was a beautiful day here in Minnesota. The clouds looked just like the marine layer that forms over Cupertino on summer mornings.

I'm gonna go for a pedal on Saturday and I'll be thinking of Spence and The Cupertino Bike Shop. Look for my spirit crank'n up Woodside Road on a 70 inch gear.

Live long and prosper, Cupertino Bike Shop.

Thanks for your patience.
