The transgression of consequence that I see here isn't so much the choice of color, but the decals. Every Specialissima that I have ever seen has been SL tubing, and every Competizione that I have ever seen has been SP. Both frames generally came with the "Gruppo Record" Campagnolo decal, the Specialissimas being equipped with those parts and the Competiziones equipped with steel cranks and Gran Sport derailleurs (yet with the "Record" decal). In the search through the list, one, and only one, Celeste Specialissima has been claimed to be original. This is after the fact, but CyclArt could probably have satisfied the customer's wishes by painting the frame the color of his choice, but insisting that the decal reflect the correct model, in this case Competizione. The model designation goes with the frame (and tubing gauge),
not the parts.
